Have a question?
Maybe we can answer it or steer you in the right direction. If you have any specific questions that are not answered here, please contact your Maverick dealer.
Q: How do I find out more about Maverick Boats?
A: You have several options. First off, you can learn more about all our products by scanning our website here! Another option is to request a brochure or by calling 1-888-SHALLOW. The best way to learn about our boats is to visit your nearest dealer and see the boats firsthand. Then you can see for yourself the quality of the product and all its features. Another great source is our forum found on this website. There you can learn everything you want to know about the boats straight from Maverick owners.
Q: How do I find my nearest Maverick Dealer?
A: Best bet is to contact Maverick Boat Company, Inc. (MBC) at 1-888-SHALLOW for the Dealers in your area. You can also go to the dealer locater page on this website.
Q: Can I purchase a boat, factory-direct, from Maverick Boat Company, Inc.?
A: No. All of our boats are offered exclusively through our dealer network. This allows our customers to be able to view an entire line of boats around the country. Our dealers are service-oriented, so the same location where you find our boats are the same places you can take them for service and maintenance. This process builds a strong customer/dealer relationship, so when you're ready for a new Maverick your dealer can help you trade-in your pre-owned model and order your upgrade.
Q: Do you take trade-ins?
A: Your local authorized Maverick dealer can assist you in selling your current boat and purchasing a new boat. Some dealers do take trades, while others prefer to help you sell your boat before purchasing a new boat.
Q: Can I come to the plant and see how the boats are built?
A: Yes. If you're going to be in the Fort Pierce area, you can schedule a factory tour and see firsthand how we build the best boats on the market. Factory tours take place every Friday at 2 p.m. Space is limited and reservations are required. Please call 1-888-SHALLOW to schedule a factory tour.
Q: How shallow will these boats run?
A: Our boats will run in anywhere from 4 to 12 inches of water, depending on the model and engine options. Some boats are made exclusively for shallow draft, such as the Maverick Mirage HPX, while others are built specifically for open-water applications. Several models are also offered in tunnel and V-hull configurations, with the tunnel hull designed for shallow-water applications and the V-hull better suited for open-water. You can find the draft of each boat model on its Product Specification page.
Q: What boat colors are available besides the standard Oyster White?
A: Boat hull color is an option. Maverick hulls will be available in Oyster White, Light Green, Fighting Lady Yellow, Ice Green, Stars & Stripes Blue. Better yet, see how these colors look on the hull of your choice by going to the “Build a Boat” section on this site.
Q: How fast should my boat go and which prop should I be running?
A: We wet-test every model we make, so our engineering staff has considerable expertise when it comes to the right prop for each model boat and motor. Your boat can be ordered or purchased through a dealer with a factory rigged Yamaha prop. Recommended by Yamaha and verified through MBC field testing, these props perform well for general use. Some owners are looking for specialized applications such as faster hole-shots or top-end speed from their boats. After market equipment like jackplates or Doelfins may affect the performance of the recommended prop. In either case you should contact your local dealer.
Q: How can I order parts or accessories for my boat?
A: Most parts and accessories are sold through your local dealer. It's one of the main benefits of an established Dealer Network. However, a few specialized items are available through www.skiffworld.com.
Q: Where do I order Maverick clothing, hats and accessories?
A: You can order directly through www.skiffworld.com on our Web Page. We offer only quality products made of the best materials.
Q: Do you make a custom boat cover for trailering?
A: We do not produce a custom boat cover. We recommend contacting your local dealer, marina or other boat owners in your area who have some knowledge of local canvas and upholstery shops. Another good source is the MBC forum accessed on this site. Here you can have your canvas and other Maverick related questions answered by knowledgeable owners.
Q: I am a licensed fishing guide. Do you offer any guide programs?
A: Yes, depending on the return to the company and your local dealer, Maverick offers several levels of guide sponsorship. Contact Charlie Johnson, (772) 465-0631, ext. 126 to obtain a Celebrity Angler and Guide Packet.
